Design Partnership
Design Partnership has spent nearly 30 years mastering the art of designing for human behaviour, creating environments that naturally bring out the best in people. I collaborated with them on a project to bring this philosophy to life through their brand and website. A key focus was embedding the spirit of partnership into the brand itself, symbolised by the plus symbol in their logo, to reflect their commitment to collaborative, human-centred spaces.
During the brand exploration process, I explored various strategies to bring Design Partnership’s identity to life. The initial concept revolved around the idea of designing the invisible—curating unseen elements and making them visible. This approach informed many of the early brand concepts. As we refined the strategy, we leaned more into the idea of partnership, which became a central theme. The plus symbol emerged as a key element, representing collaboration and unity. I experimented with the plus in multiple ways, integrating it into the logo concepts to reflect the essence of partnership that Design Partnership embodies.
As part of the brand development process, we thoroughly explored multiple directions, each with its own distinct identity. From full roll-outs of various concepts to detailed refinements, the process was all about finding the right visual language that resonated with Design Partnership's core values. We tested different approaches, integrating elements of partnership and the idea of making the invisible visible, before landing on the final brand that truly captures their vision.
The website design for Design Partnership is a true reflection of the brand's bold and distinctive identity. Every aspect of the site, from the bespoke iconography to the striking use of grey tones, is tailored to suit the brand's style. The design exudes confidence, with bold typography and layouts that emphasize the rich imagery, bringing the spaces they create to life. The custom icons are crafted to align seamlessly with the brand's aesthetic, adding a unique touch that sets the website apart and underscores the partnership theme that lies at the heart of the brand.
The mobile design for Design Partnership was crafted with the same attention to detail as the desktop experience, ensuring that every element adapts seamlessly to smaller screens. The bold typography, bespoke iconography, and carefully chosen color palette all translate beautifully to mobile, maintaining the brand's strong presence and visual impact. The layouts were thoughtfully restructured to deliver a smooth and intuitive user experience, making sure that the essence of the brand's bold and confident identity remains just as powerful on mobile devices as it does on larger screens.
